Alexandra Centre: Provision for 16 to 25 year-olds

Camden’s provision for young people

The Alexandra Centre is Camden’s provision for young people aged 16 to 25 with profound and multiple or severe learning difficulties. Some have complex autism and/or physical difficulties.

The centre, which opened in September 2015, is in the heart of the Alexandra and Ainsworth estate, Swiss Cottage, and is run by Capital City College. This is part of Camden’s plan to improve the life chances and choices of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Short breaks

There are seven short breaks units on the site of the Alexandra Centre for respite provision. The aim is to help young people and young adults with SEND to develop independent and semi-independent living skills.
