How to report balcony issues

Tell us straight away if:

you’re worried about the safety of your balcony railings or panels
the balcony door or lock is faulty

We’ll arrange for an inspection by our repair team. Find out how to report a repair.

What happens next

We may make a temporary repair to keep you safe and secure.

If there’s a serious problem, we may lock or secure the balcony door until repairs are complete and it’s safe to use again.

How to use your balcony safely

Always:

supervise children and anyone who may be at risk when they’re on the balcony
keep furniture and other items away from the edge so no one can climb or lean over
remember that pigeon netting is not play equipment and is not designed to hold weight

Never:

store items on your balcony, especially anything that can catch fire
use a barbecue on your balcony
drop or throw cigarettes from your balcony or windows
