Bloomsbury Vision

Bloomsbury is at the heart of Central London, connecting Camden and Euston to the West End, Soho and Covent Garden. It has an incredibly varied history demonstrated by its character, which ranges from Georgian terraces to Camden housing estates, hospitals and universities. Sitting within the Knowledge Quarter, where sustainable growth is encouraged with a focus on knowledge and innovation, it also contains the biggest university campus in Central London and is home to the British Museum, the most visited attraction in the UK.

There are several ongoing and planned projects in the area and the Bloomsbury Vision is an opportunity to bring these projects together and reflect its history and character through a cohesive public realm strategy that looks to create more diverse, inclusive and climate resilient public spaces.

The draft vision has been shaped by reviewing what you’ve told us through previous engagement in the area and in partnership with the University of London, University College London, Birkbeck and the British Museum.
