Borrow a ukulele

To borrow a ukulele, simply ask at the counter for an available instrument and a member of staff will issue it to your library card. You can also reserve a ukulele online, just like a book, and then collect it when available.

You will be able to borrow the ukulele for three weeks, but you can also renew it if you would like to borrow it for a little longer. 

What each kit contains

Each ukulele kit contains:

  • a London Ukulele Project booklet including links to online learning resources
  • a carrying case

Types of ukuleles

The types of ukuleles available include:

  • 1 x Brunswick Tenor
  • 1 x Kala Concert
  • 1 x Kala Tenor
  • 1 x Makala Soprano
  • 2 x Octopus Soprano (perfect for children)

Join a free class with an experienced tutor from the London Ukelele Project. Instruments provided - just bring your enthusiasm!

Book a six week ukulele course

Classes

Classes are on Tuesdays in May and June between 12 and 1pm.

May classes:

  • 6 May
  • 20 May
  • 27 May

June classes:

  • 3 June
  • 10 June
  • 17 June

Each student will be given a ukulele to use for of the course. They can take it home to practice and return it to the library at the end of the course.

London Ukulele Project

The London Ukulele Project works with charities, community groups, schools and libraries to bring people together, foster connections, and address the challenges of loneliness while promoting overall well-being using the power of music.

The Ukulele Project's YouTube channel incudes challenges and sing along videos for you to play along to or share with your ukulele groups.
