Bourne Estate action plan

Our Neighbourhood Housing Officers are working hard to address the issues and priorities on your estate. We are using this opportunity to update your estate action plan.

Antisocial behaviour (ASB)

You said:

  • ASB on the estate needs to be addressed

We did:

  • Put regular patrols by Community Safety Officers in place along with the use of redeployable cameras 

Cycle storage

You said:

  • Residents wanted more cycle storage on the estate

We did:

  • Fitted new, secure, cycle storage on the estate

Illegal parking

You said:

  • That illegal parking on the estate was a problem that needed to be addressed

We did:

  • Bourne Estate is part of phase one of Traffic Management Order implementation to address illegal parking

Cleaning

You said:

  • The cleanliness of the estate needs to be addressed

We did:

  • Put caretaker rotas and duties on display in communal areas and arranged for hardstanding spray with grass cutting and shrub reduction to take place 3 times a year, next in February 2025

Lighting

You said:

  • Lighting around the estate can be out of service frequently

We did:

  • Monitored lights and raised repairs for faulty lighting such as outside Gooch House

Pavements

You said:

  • There were issues with pavements

We did:

  • Repaired paving outside Nigel House
