Camden Interfaith Network

In Camden, we recognise the positive impact that faith communities have on our wider community. For many residents, we know their personal faith is at the centre of their lives.

What the network is for

The Camden Interfaith Network brings together residents, faith and community organisations, creating a space for open dialogue and collaboration. Our goal is simple: to promote community cohesion by sharing knowledge, insights, and resources, while highlighting the issues that matter most to our diverse communities.

Faith representatives are often at the forefront of local responses, and together, we work to provide support and reassurance, especially in times of challenge. Throughout the year, we host a range of events, from coffee mornings and local history walks to tree planting and community iftars, all designed to build stronger connections between people of faith and celebrate the power of diversity.

By working together, we can create real, positive change and foster trust, understanding, and connection across Camden. We're building a connected and vibrant interfaith community, and we'd love residents of faith to be part of this journey. Come and make a difference with us.

Interfaith Network events

The Camden Interfaith Network hosts a variety of annual events that celebrate diversity and promote community cohesion. These include interfaith coffee mornings, social action and heritage activities. Recently the network have come together for an Interfaith History Heritage Walk, as well as serving together at a local night shelter. These activities offer spaces for meaningful dialogue and collaboration. Each event brings together people from different faiths and backgrounds, fostering understanding and shared action on community issues. These gatherings provide opportunities to connect, learn, and strengthen relationships across Camden’s vibrant faith communities.

Interfaith Week 2025

The theme for Interfaith Week 2025 is Community: Together we serve.

Join us to celebrate how faith and belief inspires social action; to experience how working together towards a common aim can unite across lines of difference; and to explore what “community” really means in practice. The theme is optional, and you can use it in whatever way best makes sense in your own context.

There are lots of resources on the Inter Faith Week website. If you’d like to host an event, email us at faith@camden.gov.uk.  You may have a fully formed idea in mind, or the beginnings of one, we are here to help and connect you with others across the network.

Radical Justice in Bloomsbury - Interfaith Walk

Thursday 13 November, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Meet: Methodist Church House, 25 Tavistock Place, WC1H 9SF

Join us for this unique insight into the rich radical history, often faith inspired in and around Bloomsbury. The walk will be facilitated by the Community Partnerships Team at Camden Council, supported by the Methodist Church. The walk is based on a route developed by Methodist Church House, and adapted for the purpose of Interfaith Week.

The walk will feature historic Camden radicals such as Emmeline Pankhurst, Noor Inayat Khan and more. As we visit these different stops, we will reflect on role of faith based social action in organising communities, in combatting poverty, fascism and racism. This walk aims to celebrate Camden's shared history of coming together, fostering deeper interfaith understanding and connections for the future. Places are limited. Register on Eventbrite.

Interfaith Evening of Social Action

Thursday 13 November, 6.30pm to 9pm

In person at Kings Cross Methodist Church

Join us for an expression of Interfaith Social Action. We’ll partner with Kings Cross Methodist Church and the faith inspired homelessness charity C4WS to cook a hot meal for their night shelter guests. We’re inviting volunteers to join us, helping to prepare and serve dinner for night shelter guests while building interfaith connections. Limited places are available. Register for this event using the form.

Coffee mornings

We host regular coffee mornings throughout the year to bring people of different faiths and backgrounds together. Held in places of worship across the borough, these welcoming and informal events are an opportunity to connect with leaders and faith representatives, as well as a chance to visit and find out more about Camden’s faith spaces. If you're interested in hosting a coffee morning in your place of worship, contact us at faith@camden.gov.uk.

Our 2025 coffee morning series has now come to an end, but you can sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about 2026 dates, as well as special events in interfaith week 9 to 16 November 2025.  Subscribe to our monthly newsletter.
