Communal repair text updates

We send text messages (SMS) to keep you updated about communal repairs in your block, including lifts, heating and lighting.

How it works

When a communal service breaks down, we send 3 types of messages to tenants and leaseholders in the relevant block.

The message sender is shown as LBCamden.

Message 1: breakdown alert

The first text includes: 

  • a simple explanation of the issue 
  • the name of the block or affected area 
  • confirmation that a repair has been raised 
  • expected repair times, if we know them 

We never include personal information in our messages. 

Message 2: an update if something changes

We send this if there's new information, such as when an engineer has attended, or if more time is needed.

Message 3: confirmation that the issue is fixed

We confirm when the service is working normally again.

How to change your update preferences

You can opt in or out of receiving text messages by completing the communal repairs update form.
