Don’t approach a loan shark or get a payday loan. If you need a loan, consider credit unions or other ethical loan providers.
If you owe a loan shark money or if you’re being threatened, get confidential help.
Budgeting loan from the government
If you receive benefits, check if you can apply for a budgeting loan from the government. You only need to pay back the amount that you borrow. Repayments are taken from your benefits.
