Housing investment strategy 2025 to 2030
Camden's housing investment strategy (HIS) sets out the Council’s plans to provide more, better-quality homes.
This strategy outlines the next 5 years of work, which supports the borough's aim of ensuring decent, safe, warm and family-friendly housing to support our communities, fulfilling our We Make Camden ambitions.
The 3 core pledges
The Housing Investment Strategy is guided by 3 core housing pledges:
- We will drive long-term growth in Council-owned housing
- We will improve the overall quality of the Council’s homes, so they are modern, accessible and energy efficient
- We will actively manage and adapt our housing stock to respond to local housing needs
This combined strategy ensures that all programmes for managing and expanding the housing stock work towards a common purpose of creating good-quality, family-friendly homes that meet our community’s needs.
