Organisations funded by the Future Camden Fund
The Future Camden Fund supports local organisations that are creating positive change in the community. Here’s a list of the businesses and social enterprises that have received funding.
Kin & Cloth
Kin & Cloth sells handmade, sustainable children’s clothing. The award-winning business also runs creative workshops for children aged 5-14, teaching them skills in printing, sewing, designing and making – and giving them a space for creativity to flourish. With a match trading grant, Kin & Cloth aims to deliver free workshops to young people in Camden.
Blomma Beauty
Blomma Beauty is an award-winning organic wellbeing business that sells natural products from British brands, offers holistic facials, and runs workshops and self-care experiences for individuals and groups. With a match trading grant, Blomma Beauty will provide free spaces for their wellbeing workshops for local community, wellbeing or charitable groups.
Money Circuit
Money Circuit launched in 2024 with the aim to improve financial literacy in Camden and enable healthier thinking and behaviours around money. The business runs financial education courses covering budgeting, earning, investing, debt and money psychology. With a match trading grant, Money Circuit will deliver free workshops for young people in Camden, measuring the change in their financial literary scores and financial aspirations.
STORE Schools & Projects
STORE Schools & Projects is a Camden-based community interest company which runs a programme of free education and skills-based courses for young people aged 14-18. Students learn skills in glass blowing, 3D printing, bioplastics, pattern cutting and ceramics. The organisation also runs STORE STORE, a shop which sells products developed by artists, designers and students. With a match trading grant, they plan to expand their After School Club.
Flori Canto
Flori Canto is a Camden-based shop which sells organic tea, herbs, spices and other natural products. The shop promotes healthy living and sells products using a zero-waste and refill model. With a match trading grant the business will train five local residents, for free, over a nine-month period to create their own products that can be sold in the Flori Canto shop. Participants will learn how to make products from scratch and how to set up their own business.
Leaves Breathe
Leaves Breathe is a social enterprise that works with communities to enhance their local green spaces across Greater London. The organisation trains local residents as Garden Leaders, runs corporate gardening days, and transforms news spaces into nature-rich areas for communities to enjoy. With a match trading grant Leaves Breathe will transform green spaces in Camden, facilitate 1,000 volunteer hours across the borough, and train local residents to become Garden Leaders.
Coley Street Consulting
Coley Street Consulting is a consultancy which specialises in social change, working with private, public and non-profit sectors to tackle social issues. Having launched in 2023, the business is growing fast, and with a match trading grant, the business aims to offer more than 800 free consultancy hours to the voluntary and community sector over the next year, working with Camden Giving to select local organisations most in need of support.
HELLO LOVE
HELLO LOVE is a studio and gallery in Camden. They run a diverse array of wellness classes and workshops, art exhibitions and installations. With a match trading grant, the business are launching a new health and wellbeing platform called LIBRA, aimed at addressing the health and wellness disparities encountered by women and other marginalised groups in Camden. The platform works with registered healthcare professionals to create free content on the app and website, with the aim of preventing the onset of chronic diseases. The wellness centre will also host pop-up screening events.
Clime-It Brothers
Clime-It Brothers is a clothing brand with an e-commerce site and shop in Camden. The Clime-it Brothers Academy began in 2020, with the aim to reduce crime in Camden by educating and supporting young people aged 16-25 through their programme ‘Design Your Way Out’. Young people learn how to design, manufacture, promote and sell clothing as a way of making money. With a match trading grant, the business will be able to support more young people.
Tammam
Tammam is a sustainable couture fashion studio in Camden that creates garments, carries out alterations, hosts skills workshops and creates limited edition garments to support climate change campaigns. With a match trading grant, Tammam will deliver a series of skills and textile sustainability workshops which combine embroidery skills with climate/fashion education; plus, Tammam will create activity packs for businesses, schools and community groups to educate and inspire action.
Cashblack
Cashblack is a startup e-commerce platform that champions economic empowerment and visibility for Black-owned businesses. It's a cashback service that rewards consumers for shopping with Black-owned businesses. With an affordable loan, Cashsblack will pilot ‘Cashblack Brick and Mortar’, where Open Banking Technology will be used to enable in-store purchases, so that users are rewarded with cashback on purchases at physical store locations. This will support an array of barbershops, beauty salons, grocery and convenience stores, and market vendors in Camden Market, and any other brick-and-mortar businesses registered on the platform.
Camden People’s Theatre
Camden People’s Theatre is a Camden theatre dedicated to supporting early career artists and putting on innovative contemporary performances. The theatre runs artist development programmes and community engagement initiatives, and offers £10 tickets to local residents. With a match trading grant, CPT will launch a corporate workshop series, training local artists to deliver collaboration and communication workshops to local employees, using methods honed over the years in theatre rehearsals.
Art School Plus
Art School Plus is a training provider and innovator of unique art projects. It acts as the bridge between artists and projects, supporting the development of mutually beneficial relationships. With a match trading grant Art School Plus is delivering training for Camden organisations on how to work with artists on public realm and community art projects. The training teaches best practice when working with diverse artists to deliver social impact.
Mobile Food Hub
Mobile Food Hub works with local communities to address and respond to difficult issues that people face in their everyday lives. With their match trading grant, they have launched a meal box delivery service in Camden. Using locally sourced food, they will deliver free meal boxes to food-insecure people in Camden, while raising income through a paid subscription service, and train residents for free with either cooking skills, working experience or job readiness skills.
Steel Pan Music
Steel Pan Music is a non-profit CIC created to remember the generosity of Trinidad’s pan pioneers and their inspiring new music. The Department for Education is investing in diverse and inclusive music education in England, and Steel Pan Music is the only specialist supplier of authentic instruments on the approved framework. Steel Pan Music will use a match trading grant and loan to purchase stock and create a digital steel pan teaching resource.
Cook for Good
Cook for Good is a social enterprise with a mission to build confidence, connections and communities through food. They are a community hub for local residents in Kings Cross which runs a food surplus pantry, soup café, cookery classes and hospitality training. With their match trading grant they are launching a new corporate soup enterprise (selling soup to local businesses), and using the income generated from that to expand their free food pantry service in Camden.
The Sankofa Birth Experience
The Sankofa Birth Experience is a holistic birth preparation service dedicated to supporting pregnant women through tailored support that focuses on their physical and emotional wellbeing. With their match trading grant they will expand the business’s reach by providing low-cost and subsidised services for pregnant women from disadvantaged backgrounds, especially those who are statistically more likely to face adverse pregnancy and birth outcomes.
Well Grounded
Well Grounded is a speciality coffee training academy located in the heart of Camden. Their employability programmes support local people who are not in education, employment or training, with technical accreditation, soft skills, employability coaching and work experience. With a match trading grant, they are investing in the business to generate sustainable income, and train local unemployed people within the next year at the academy.
Born By A River
Born By A River is a production company that works across fiction, non-fiction, short and long format film-making. At the core of their work is a commitment to making their processes more accessible. With an FCF grant they are delivering a research project that will explore underrepresentation in film leadership teams, and test methods to improve inclusion, accessibility and wellbeing for crew teams.
Fallen & Felled
Fallen & Felled is a Camden-based timber company offering a sustainable alternative. They salvage felled urban trees and turn them into high-quality hardwood timber including ash, London plane, oak and beech, which they supply to furniture makers, designers, architects and hobbyists. They also use this timber to create bespoke furniture for residential and commercial clients. With a match trading grant and loan, they will invest in essential machinery costs, while delivering a suite of social value initiatives, including running community events, salvaging Camden trees, and promoting sustainable practices with local partners and businesses.
London School of Furniture Making
The London School of Furniture Making offers intensive, short-format training in core furniture-making skills. Their courses are designed to match the quality of professional qualifications while remaining accessible to amateurs, beginners, and professionals from related disciplines. Occupying space on Hartland Roach Arches, they are looking to double their teaching capacity, provide bespoke tuition for NHS and local authority partners, and increase diversity in the craft of furniture making with an FCF loan.
Wilkinson & Rivera
Wilkinson & Rivera is a creative studio founded in 2020 which specialises in the design and manufacturing of contemporary furniture and artwork, with a strong focus on in-house craftsmanship. Pairing small-batch manufacturing methods with intentional material sourcing, they work hard to be the antithesis of furniture's modern throw-away culture. With an FCF loan they will hire staff locally to support with studio management, marketing and project management, with a particular focus on supporting Camden mothers with thoughtful and flexible employment opportunities.
Axion Solutions
Axion Solutions Ltd is a Camden-based professional services company that supports businesses, communities, and public sector organisations through tailored research, business, and digital support services. They specialise in working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, and local organisations, to enhance their strategic direction, digital capabilities, and workforce skills. With FCF funding they will scale up their sustainability consultancy and digital inclusion services, provide free digital support to Camden residents, and offer subsidised services for Camden SMEs.
Theme
Theme Ltd is an innovative music company based in Camden. They primarily operate as a recording studio offering professional audio production services to a diverse range of artists and clients. Beyond this, they function as a record label, and hire out a versatile event space for creative and commercial purposes. With FCF funding they will be able to support more emerging artists, many of whom will be local to Camden, and expand their Theme Sessions which help spotlight local talent.
