Tenancy visits from your Neighbourhood Housing Officer
Tenancy visits from your Neighbourhood Housing Officer
As part of our ongoing work with tenants, we will be visiting all 22,000 of our secure tenancies over the next 3 years.
Why we visit
We want to make sure your homes are safe, secure and lived in by the people we’ve given tenancies to.
We carry out regular visits during each tenancy. Our visits also help to connect with our tenants so we can:
- understand your needs
- gather clear information about who lives in your home
- use this information to improve the services we provide
Arranging our visit
We’ll usually contact you before visiting your home. But sometimes, a housing officer may visit without notice. This helps us carry out tenancy checks more efficiently across all our homes.
If you're not in, we’ll leave a calling card with details on how to rearrange our visit.
All our staff carry Camden Council identification and will always show it when they arrive. If you're unsure, you can call us to confirm the visit is genuine.
What happens during our visit
During our visit, we’ll:
- update the information we hold about you and your family
- learn how our services affect your day-to-day life
- strengthen our relationship with you
What you’ve told us
In our most recent Tenant Perception Satisfaction Survey, 67.7% of tenants said they were happy with our service. We want to improve this.
We’re excited about the impact this programme will have on building trust, improving services, and creating stronger, more connected communities.
