About the awards
Eligibility to enter
- Anyone can enter a project into the Camden Design Awards. We welcome suggestions from anyone including local residents, local groups and associations, employees and businesses as well as architects and developers (please ensure the land or building owner is aware of the nomination being submitted).
- The Camden Design Awards are open to projects, across all sectors of the built environment and at all scales – from housing to small rear extensions, offices to community and education buildings, new or improved public spaces, retrofitting of historic buildings, or even an exemplar approach to community engagement
- The project must be located within the London Borough of Camden
- Schemes must have been completed since January 2022
- Submissions will need to be accessible by the judging panel in Late Spring 2025
- Previously submitted projects need not apply unless there are special circumstances
Judging criteria
The judges will be looking for projects that:
- are inclusive, sustainable and fit for purpose
- demonstrate high quality in design, materials and construction
- respond sensitively to their context and reinforce a sense of place
- enrich the lives of those who live and work in and around them
