Volunteering
We actively recruit and support volunteers, recognising the value they add to the service.

As a volunteer, you will:
support tutors in the classroom
facilitate conversation groups in our libraries and community centres
support events and outreach activities
Volunteer requirements
To volunteer with us, you need to:
commit to a minimum 3-month placement
show enthusiasm for adult learning
How to become a volunteer
If you’re interested in volunteering with us, complete our online application form. We’ll get in touch with you as soon as possible.
You’ll be invited to an in-person volunteer recruitment session. At this, you’ll do a written assessment to test your writing skills. There'll also be an interview, similar to a job interview.
If you pass the recruitment session, we’ll pay for you to get an Enhanced DBS certificate. You’ll also need to give us 2 references.
Paid work
All paid work opportunities are advertised on Camden Jobs.
