What happens next?

Once the consultation has finished, the Councils will forward the responses and the draft Neighbourhood Plan to an independent examiner. Having considered the submitted representations, the appointed examiner will assess whether the plan meets the relevant legislation and statutory requirements. If the draft Plan passes the examination, a referendum will be organised to give the community the final say on whether the draft plan is to be used in determining planning applications in the designated neighbourhood area.

Area and Forum applications

On 3 June 2016 the London Borough of Camden and Brent Councils approved the designation of the Neighbourhood Area and Neighbourhood Forum. A public consultation on the Forum and Area applications took place between 3 March to 15 April 2016.

The 2016 approved applications can be viewed below, they show the area in which the neighbourhood planning powers apply.

The Kilburn Neighbourhood Forum was redesignated for another 5 years on 28 January 2022.
