Swiss at Sixty
The library service is celebrating the sixtieth year of Swiss Cottage Library. The library was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 10 November 1964. An exhibition, Swiss at Sixty: The Swiss Cottage Library Story, opened in the Gallery at Swiss Cottage Library on March 7th charting the history of this architecturally iconic library. The exhibition has been created by the Local Studies and Archive Service. The exhibition has now been taken down from the Gallery but if you missed it please do visit Holborn Library from Monday 14th April until Thursday 29th May to see the exhibition. The exhibition will be on the 2nd floor in the Local Studies and Archive Centre.
Also to help celebrate the 60th year the children’s library at Swiss Cottage Library has been redesigned to make the space more engaging and interactive.
