Team Around Me (TAM)
Team Around Me (TAM)
Team Around Me (TAM) was created by the Single Homeless Project. It's a collaborative model for holding case conferences or multi-agency meetings for people experiencing multiple disadvantage, putting the person at the centre of their support.
The TAM structure applies to any meeting where professionals meet to support people with care and support needs. Various services refer to these meetings by different names such as multi-agency meetings, case conferences, professionals’ meetings or MDT meetings.
TAM provides a consistent, strengths-based, trauma-informed and co-produced approach to conducting these meetings which helps create a sense of unity and support among professionals.

Become a TAM champion
In order to fully integrate TAM in Camden, we need champions in every service that provides support to people with multiple disadvantage.
Responsibilities
Champions are responsible for:
- encouraging colleagues to use the tool and embed it into typical practice
- helping colleagues understand the benefits of using TAM
- directing colleagues to TAM resources and training
- helping colleagues use the tool well
- supporting with issues and questions that arise
- ensuring your team are capturing system challenges or blockages via the provided reporting form
Skills and commitment
You should:
- have attended a recent TAM training session and be confident about the TAM model, its ethos and way of working
- have the ability and time to support a colleague to organise, coordinate and chair a TAM meeting
- be able to champion TAM in your service to clients and staff and ensure the structure is used for all multi-agency meetings your service sets up
- have a good understanding of how systemic issues can impact clients experiencing homelessness and multiple disadvantage
- commit to working in a trauma-informed and co-produced way
What you’ll get in return
As a champion, you'll get:
- the opportunity to ensure that the challenges and barriers your service and your clients face are reflected to senior leaders in Camden
- the opportunity to attend bi-annual practice forums with other TAM champions to network, support each other and think through shared challenges
- professional development as you improve your skills and experience in embedding a tool that improves support for clients, and aims to improve the wider system
