Nobody should experience the trauma of domestic abuse or feel unsafe at home. We are committed to supporting residents impacted by domestic abuse.

If you are experiencing or are at risk of domestic abuse in your home or the place where you normally live, you are considered homeless. You do not need to wait to flee or leave your home.  We are here to help.

Our domestic abuse and housing policy explains the support that we can provide and the approach that will be followed by our housing teams when responding to domestic abuse.

'Know your rights' survivors' handbook

The ‘know your rights’ survivors' handbook provides practical information on the different housing options and rights of domestic abuse survivors.

Both the policy and handbook have been made with people with lived experience of domestic abuse, homelessness, and housing insecurity.
